Ferrari 849 Testarossa

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is powered by a heavily reworked 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with three electric motors in a plug-in hybrid setup. The combustion engine alone produces around 830cv, while the electric motors add approximately 220cv, resulting in a combined output of nearly 1050cv (1036bhp).

The hybrid system includes:

• Two front-mounted electric motors

• One rear electric motor

• All-wheel-drive system

• 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

Performance figures are extraordinary:

• 0-100kmph: under 2.3 seconds

• 0-200kmph: approximately 6 seconds

• Top speed: around 330–340kmph

These modes allow the car to balance efficiency, electric driving capability, and maximum performance depending on driving conditions

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa uses a 6.5kWh to 7.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack depending on specification references. The battery allows limited pure-electric driving capability of approximately 16km to 25km.

The EV mode powers the front axle independently, allowing silent low-speed urban driving while also improving traction and torque vectoring performance.

Aerodynamics & Performance Engineering

Ferrari has significantly improved aerodynamic efficiency compared to the SF90 Stradale. The 849 Testarossa produces approximately 415kg of downforce at 250kmph, thanks to extensive aerodynamic redesigns.
