Q. : Does the AMG GT 63 S genuinely work as a daily family car in India — or is its performance character so extreme that it makes routine driving unnecessarily tense
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
: The GT 63 S is more liveable daily than its 639 PS suggests — in Comfort mode with ESP active, it drives smoothly through Bengaluru traffic without requiring hero-driver inputs. The four seats are genuinely adult-comfortable, the boot is usable, and the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension absorbs city roads acceptably. The performance reveals itself when you choose to access it — it doesn't intrude on routine driving. Where it genuinely earns its four-door GT claim is on expressway runs where the V8 soundtrack and effortless pace make even commutes feel extraordinary.

Q. At the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S price in India, does it make more sense than a Porsche Panamera Turbo or BMW M5 — how does the value case hold up?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
The GT 63 S is positioned above the M5 and broadly comparable to Panamera Turbo in India pricing. Against the M5, AMG wins on visual drama and V8 sound; BMW wins on more accessible daily dynamics. Against the Panamera Turbo, the GT 63 S is more emotionally intense and more visually dramatic — the Panamera is the more technically nuanced, balanced GT. For buyers who want the most dramatic-looking four-door performance car in India with a V8 soundtrack that announces itself unambiguously, the GT 63 S makes a strong case. For the most sophisticated performance GT, the Panamera edge persists.

Q. : In real Hyderabad or Delhi NCR city traffic, how does the GT 63 S's V8 consumption manifest — is it a constant monthly financial reminder?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
: City fuel consumption in the GT 63 S runs 5–8 kmpl with the 4.0-litre V8 — at 1,000 km monthly of mixed city use, expect ₹12,000–₹20,000 in monthly fuel costs at current prices, which is significant but contextually appropriate for a ₹2.5+ crore performance car. The cylinder deactivation system helps at low loads by running on 4 cylinders — useful in slow traffic. Most GT 63 S owners in India use it primarily for weekend expressway or mountain drives where the efficiency is better (9–12 kmpl) and the car's character is fully expressed.

Q. : For an Indian buyer who already owns a Mercedes-Benz S-Class and wants a performance car upgrade — does the GT 63 S complement the S-Class or should they consider a Porsche 911 instead?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
: The GT 63 S complements an S-Class perfectly — it's the dynamic counterpoint to the S-Class's dignified luxury, serving the weekend expressway and occasional track day role. If you already have a luxury car for formal use, the GT 63 S fills the 'driver's car' gap. A 911 would be a more technically pure performance addition if driving satisfaction is the singular goal. The GT 63 S is the choice for buyers who want drama, presence, and four-seat versatility in their performance car — the 911 is for buyers who want the purest sports car experience. Both are strong complements to an S-Class

Q. What should a prospective GT 63 S buyer in India budget for annual maintenance beyond the standard service — any AMG-specific cost surprises
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
Annual Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S service at AMG-certified centres: ₹1,50,000–₹2,50,000 for comprehensive work. Performance brake pad replacement occurs more frequently than standard cars — every 25,000–35,000 km depending on use, at ₹60,000–₹1,00,000 per set for AMG Sport Plus compound. Tyre replacement (265/305 section) at ₹2,50,000–₹3,50,000 per full set. Comprehensive insurance: ₹3,50,000–₹5,50,000 annually. Total annual ownership budget: ₹4,00,000–₹7,00,000. GT 63 S ownership rewards buyers who plan these costs as part of the lifestyle — they're predictable, structured, and part of owning one of India's finest performance cars.
