Q. Is the 765LT too "hardcore" for Indian roads, or can it be driven outside of a race track?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
The "LT" stands for Longtail, which means it is track-focused. With a starting price of roughly ₹6.75 crore (ex-showroom), it is extremely low and the suspension is significantly stiffer than a 750S. On the smooth tarmac of the Samruddhi Mahamarg, it is a missile; however, in a city like Kolkata, the vibrations and noise from the stiff mounts and titanium exhaust can be punishing. It is a car for the "hardcore" collector who has access to a private track or perfect highways

Q. How does the 765LT’s aerodynamics affect its performance at legal Indian speeds?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
The massive front splitter and "Longtail" active rear wing produce 25% more downforce than the 720S. While you won't feel this at 80 km/h, the car feels incredibly "pinned" to the road during high-speed lane changes on expressways. The trade-off is the front splitter's length—you have to be surgically precise when entering ramps to avoid expensive carbon-fiber "crunches."

Q. Why does the 765LT use a "Titanium" exhaust system, and is it too loud for Indian city norms?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
The quad-exit titanium exhaust is 40% lighter than steel and produces a high-frequency "LT" howl that is legendary. At idle and low revs, it is manageable, but under full throttle, it is deafening. Owners in India often find that the 765LT draws crowds purely based on its sound before they even see the car.

Q. What is the "weight-saving" obsession in the 765LT, and does it mean sacrificing AC and Audio?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
McLaren removed the floor carpets and even used thinner glass to save weight. By default, it doesn't have an audio system or air conditioning to keep the weight at 1,339kg, but for India, McLaren allows you to add AC and a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system at no extra cost. Most Indian owners opt for the AC for obvious reasons, even if it adds a few kilograms back.

Q. How exclusive is the 765LT in India?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
Globally, production was limited to just 765 units. In India, there are only a handful of examples, making it one of the rarest supercars in the country. It is a "blue-chip" investment car; unlike standard supercars that depreciate, a well-maintained 765LT is likely to hold or even increase its value over the next decade
