Q. Does the Compass Trailhawk's 4x4 system actually make a difference for someone who only does mild off-roading occasionally?

The Trailhawk is the only Compass variant with "Rock Mode" and a 20:1 crawl ratio (simulated via its 9-speed gearbox). It also has a raised 205mm ground clearance and better approach/departure angles. If your "mild off-roading" involves slushy farm tracks or flooded monsoon roads, the standard 4x4 Limited is sufficient. The Trailhawk is for the buyer who wants the peace of mind that they can tackle a technical trail or deep river crossing without damaging the bumpers.
