Mahindra BE 6 Convenience and Technology
The cabin of the Mahindra BE 6 stands out with its modern and futuristic design. One of the main highlights is the twin-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated BE logo and touch-based controls, giving it a premium and tech-forward feel.
The dashboard is sleek and minimal, dominated by a large twin-display setup that seamlessly integrates the infotainment and driver’s display. It also features neatly placed AC vents and a floating centre console armrest, which smartly separates the driver and front passenger areas for a more cockpit-like experience.
Adding a unique touch to the interior is the strap-style door grab handle, which not only looks stylish but also enhances the overall cabin design.
In terms of features, the BE 6 is well-equipped with wireless mobile charging, automatic climate control, multiple drive modes, and a panoramic sunroof. For entertainment, it gets a premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, along with OTA (Over-The-Air) updates, ensuring the car stays up-to-date with the latest software improvements.
Mahindra BE 6 Safety
The Mahindra BE 6 comes equipped with a strong set of safety features to enhance both protection and driving confidence. It includes seven airbags, along with essential systems like ABS with EBD and ESP for better stability and control.
Additional advanced features such as an electronic parking brake (EPB), auto park assist, and a 360-degree camera make parking and maneuvering much easier and safer.
As of now, the BE 6 has not yet been tested in official crash safety ratings, so its safety score is still awaited.
Mahindra BE 6 Interior and Exterior Styling
The BE 6 retains most of the design elements from the concept car. Some of these include the C-shaped LED DRLs, aero-spec dual-tone alloy wheels, sloping roofline, glossy black body cladding, full-length LED light bar on the tailgate, new Mahindra twin peaks logo, and a chunky rear diffuser.
Inside, the Mahindra BE 6 boasts a new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a backlit BE logo, dual digital screen housing the driver's display and infotainment system, and an airplane-inspired gear lever.
Additionally, the centre console houses a drive mode selector, front armrest, engine start-stop button, and cup holders. Also up for offer is an augmented heads-up display and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Q. Is the Mahindra BE 6 price in India worth it against the Tata Curvv EV or MG ZS EV — what does it actually offer more?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
The BE 6 at ₹18.90–26.90 lakh (ex-showroom) is positioned as a performance-first electric coupe-SUV, and its 59/79 kWh battery options with a claimed range of up to 682 km separate it clearly from the Curvv EV and ZS EV. The 150kW fast charging capability (10–80% in ~20 minutes) is class-leading in this price band. For buyers who want EV driving excitement alongside genuine range confidence, the BE 6

Q. What real-world range does the Mahindra BE 6 deliver in Indian city conditions with AC running full blast?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
On the larger 79 kWh pack, expect 420–480 km in mixed Indian city-highway driving with AC — noticeably less than the WLTP figure but among the best in its class. Pure city use with frequent braking returns better efficiency thanks to strong regenerative braking. For typical Bengaluru or Delhi commutes of 50–80 km daily, the BE 6 covers nearly a full week on a single charge when home-charging is set up.

Q. Does the Mahindra BE 6's performance actually feel different from a Tata Nexon EV Max in real-world city driving?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
Substantially different — the BE 6's rear-wheel-drive setup with up to 281 bhp delivers a driving character that the front-heavy Nexon EV simply cannot match. The instant torque delivery, the lower seating position, and the more responsive steering make the BE 6 feel genuinely sporty rather than just efficiently quick. For buyers who want their EV to be enjoyable to drive, not just economical to run, the BE 6 represents a category step-up.

Q. Should you choose the Mahindra BE 6 over the Hyundai Creta Electric if both are in your shortlist — what's the honest comparison?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
The Creta Electric offers a wider service network, stronger brand confidence in EV after-sales, and a more family-practical interior. The BE 6 counters with more range, faster charging, better performance, and more distinctive design. For families where rear space, service accessibility, and peace of mind matter most, the Creta Electric wins. For individuals or couples who want driving excitement and range confidence, the BE 6 is the more compelling product.

Q. What is the BE 6 ownership experience like in India — charging infrastructure, service support, and post-warranty battery concerns?
SIX BUY AND SELL TEAM • Apr 2026
Mahindra has committed to a dedicated EV service network across 100+ cities, and the BE 6 supports both home charging (7.2kW AC) and public DC fast charging. The battery carries an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty — best in class. The main watch-out for early adopters: software updates and OTA features are still maturing, and first-year ownership often involves discovering firmware refinements. Buy the extended service package at purchase for financial predictability.
